The most expensive Indian film ever produced, with a cost of 1,5 billion rupees, will release worldwide on 13 June 2008. Produced by Aaskar Ravichandhran and directed by K.S.Ravikumar, the film stars Kamalhassan in ten different roles. THIS IS A WORLD FIRST! The previous record was Sivaji Ganesan’s 9 roles in NAVARATHRI, followed by Eddie Murphy’s 7 roles in THE NUTTY PROFESSOR.
No other Indian actor has more awards and titles than Kamalhassan who started his career as a child artist in Kallathoor Kannamma when he was only 5 years old. He has a world record of 171 awards, with 19 Filmfare Awards for films in various Indian Languages.
Kamalhassan has acted under 3 generations of directors and starred in some of Tamil cinema’s most impressive films, some of which were India’s entries to the Oscars. NAAYAGAN, GUNAA, HEY RAAM, ANBE SIVAM, AALLAVANDHAAN, PANJA THANTHIRAM, VETTAIYAADU VILLAIYAADU have all enjoyed box-office success and the praise of film critics.
With a record 1000 prints at the time of release, this film looks to break records currently held by Rajinikanth’s SIVAJI.

Great stuff, Devan. KEEP IT UP!
