Tamil films to be screened in Russia in 2010
The Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industries is currently engaged in talks with various Tamil film producers to have a selection of Tamil films screened in Russia (with subtitles).
The proposed list is a varied one and includes evergreen classics like Sivaji Ganesan’s Vasantha Maaligai and Pudhiya Paravai; Kamalhassan’s Punnagai Mannan and Rajinikanth’s Netri Kann to later movies like Rajinkanth’s Muthu and Kamalhassan’s Vettaiyaadu Villaiyaadu.
Vettaiyaadu Villaiyaadu was recently dubbed into Hindi as The Smart Hunt and it is likely that both versions will release in Moscow next year.
