“Endhiran” first, then “Sultan the Warrior”
Soundarya Rajinikanth has confirmed that her Sultan the Warrior - a full-length animated feature will not clash with the release in April of Shankar’s Endhiran (Robot) as work is still proceeding on the technically-complicated Sultan the Warrior.
The Tamil version will feature 6 songs where the opening song will be sung by S.P.Balasubramanyam. The inimitable SPB is regarded as Rajinikanth’s “good luck charm” as films in which he sings the introductory song usually go on to become box-office hits. Rajinikanth’s two box-office recent box-office failures - Baba and Kuselan - both had Shankar Mahadevan singing the introductory song.
This leaves Sun Pictures, the producers of Endhiran, a clear path for success as the only film that can compete against a Rajini-starrer would be another Rajini starrer.
