Vijay’s VETTAIKAARAN now confirmed for 18 Dec 2009

Sun Pictures have flexed their muscles and convinced the Tamil Nadu Film Producers Council to rescind their earlier decision and allow Vijay’s Vettaikaaran to release on 18 December 2009.

Earlier, the TFPC decreed that all superstar films may only release on festival days. This meant that once Vettaikaaran had pulled out of the Deepavali race, it could only be released for Pongal 2010.

Fans of Vijay are now overjoyed that their hero’s film will enjoy a solo release. Will Vettaikaaran now match the success of another December Vijay movie, Kaadhalukku Mariyaadhai?

Meanwhile M.Raja, the brother of Jayam Ravi, is completing an original script which will feature Vijay in the lead role.
